Portraits were my very first artistic addiction. I used to draw the faces of some of my classmates at school, in pencil. It was one of the few things I enjoyed doing there. My efforts have grown organically, if cautiously.
John Singer Sargent famously said “Every time I paint a portrait I lose a friend”. Do you have to know the person you paint? I’m still exploring this genre. Below, some of the kind people who have allowed me to share my interpretation of their faces.
